About Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is the specialty of dentistry which includes the diagnosis and surgical and adjunctive treatment of diseases, injuries, and defects involving both the functional and esthetic aspects of the hard and soft tissues of the oral and facial regions. As part of their specialty training, oral and maxillofacial surgeons study such diverse areas as anesthesia, head and neck surgery, pathology, trauma, and radiology. Baker and Cadra can admit you to area hospitals at which they have priviledges for both in-patient and out-patient procedures.
